The Friends of the Central Skagit Library

The Friends of the Central Skagit Library are a group of volunteers who help the Library provide programs and services to the community. They meet every other month to plan fundraising events and other volunteering opportunities.

The Friends host a variety of year-round and seasonal volunteer opportunities for community members interested in supporting the mission of the Library in Sedro-Woolley and the rest of the Library’s service area.

Through their annual book sale and other fundraisers, the Friends fund classes and programs, help purchase prizes for the summer reading program and support library projects. There are no membership dues, and meeting attendance is encouraged but not required.

Interested in joining the Friends or learning more? Reach out to centralskagitfriends@gmail.com

As a nonprofit organization, the Friends govern themselves through their Board and bylaws.

Book Sale

The Friends of the Central Skagit Library hold their annual book sale every June during Blast from the Past.

To volunteer or donate books, please email centralskagitfriends@gmail.com.

The Friends also have an ongoing book sale in the library’s common area. We’ve got great titles for sale whenever the Library is open. Donations are welcome! Please bring any new or gently used books to the service desk. No more than 10 books at a time, please!
