What do I need to get a library card?

Photo ID – a valid Driver’sLicense or official photo identification

You need proof of current address if your current address is not printed on your photo ID. Then you need a document with your address: e.g. bank statement, utility bill, imprinted check, rental agreement, rent receipt, or cancelled mail with name and address. If you have recently moved and cannot verify your new address, we can send you a postcard in the mail to use as your proof of address. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must come with you to the District office, and bring their photo ID and proof of current address.

The parent or legal guardian is responsible for items checked out on the child’s card and any related fines and fees.
